WHY VOLUNTEER?

Instead of considering volunteering as something you do for people who are not as fortunate as yourself, begin to think of it as an exchange.

Consider that most people find themselves in need at some point in their lives. So today you may be the person with the ability to help, but tomorrow you may be the recipient of someone else's volunteer effort.

What we have learned is that as volunteers in our community, we also benefit greatly as individuals.

VOLUNTEER TEAMS

  • Two shifts of approximately 20-25 volunteers will be needed to properly run this event
    • First Shift 7:30 AM - 12:00 Noon
    • Second Shift 11:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • All volunteers should report to Volunteer Check-in for assignment at their reporting time
  • All volunteers will be given a "Summer Bash" Volunteer T-Shirt:
    • Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large, or XXX-Large
  • Volunteers will work in the following areas:
    • Inflatable games
    • Stagehands
    • Parking Lot
    • Security
    • Trash Team
    • Parkrose Ministry Network booth
    • Volunteer Check-In/Information Booth

  • Lunch will not be provided for the volunteers, but drinks and lite snacks will be available at no charge. Volunteers may purchase other food onsite from participating vendors.
  • Please dress appropriately for weather, but modestly. No "short shorts" please.
